The Regional Intelligence Liaison Office (RILO)

Structure and Organization

RILO SOUTH AMERICA

The Regional Intelligence Liaison Office (RILO) is a global information exchange network among Customs around the world that manages data on illegal activities related to customs matters and works under the WCO frame (World Customs Organization).

RILO is spread all over the world in 10 regional points:

  • Asia: headquarters in China.
  • Europe: headquarters in Germany.
  • South America: headquarters in Chile.

There also are RILO offices in Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Senegal, Morocco, Poland and the Russian Federation.

At each region there is the National Contact Points (NCP). In South America there are 10 national contact points:

  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Bolivia
  • Colombia
  • Ecuador
  • Guyana
  • Paraguay
  • Peru
  • Uruguay
  • Venezuela

This global information exchange network is supported by CEN (Customs Enforcement Network), an information system containing data related to the seizure of goods and activities under Customs control around the world.
